Eligibility
Applicant must:

Be at least age 15 days of age and no more than age 89 years old

Be insured for benefits under Canadian government health insurance plan during the entire period of coverage

Not have been diagnosed with a terminal illness

Not require assistance with activities of daily living as the result of a medical condition or state of health

Maximum liability: $10,000,000 CAD per insured person
No Deductible
Minimum premium: $20 CAD per policy
Benefits
Hospital and Medical Expenses
Provides up to $10 million for emergency hospitalization (semi-private) and emergency medical services in excess of your provincial or territorial plan
Meal and accommodation
Up to $3,500 CAD for reasonable living expenses while you are in hospital, insured family members or travelling companions remaining
Transportation of family or friend
Up to $3,000 CAD to bring a family member or close friend to your bedside
Return of vehicle or watercraft
Up to $4,000 to return the vehicle to you. If, as a result of a covered sickness or injury, you are unable to return to Canada with the vehicle or watercraft used for your trip
Pet return (dog or cat)
Up to $500 reimbursement in the event an Insured is hospitalized due to a covered risk for the cost of returning the Insured’s accompanying dog or cat to Canada when necessary
Return of deceased
Up to $15,000 is provided for the homeward carriage of your body in the event of death
Up to $4,000 for the cremation or burial at the place of death
Accidental Dental
Up to $4,000 is payable for repair or replacement of whole or sound natural teeth caused by an accidental blow to the face
Dental Emergencies
Up to $500 for the immediate relief of acute dental pain caused by other than a blow to the face
Claim
In the event of a medical emergency, you must notify AGA Emergency Assistance within 24 hours of admission to a hospital and before any surgery is performed.
Notice of Claim. Claims must be reported within 30 days of occurrence.
Proof of Claim. Written proof of claim must be submitted within 90 days of occurrence.
